The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to determine that the program and the computer being used to tabulate the results of the election, counts the votes in the manner prescribed by the law.

LIMITATION

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of Resolutions of the Board of Trustees of the Township of Brookfield, Ohio passed on the 7th day of January, 2019 and on the 16th day of January, 2019, Resolutions Nos. M-19-25 and M-19- 30 respectively, there will be submitted to a vote of the people of said subdivision, excluding the portion of the Township that includes the Village of Yankee Lake, at the primary election to be held in said Township, at the regular places of voting therein, on Tuesday, the 7th day of May, 2019, the question of levying a renewal tax, in excess of the ten-mill limitation, for the benefit of said Township, pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Sections 5705.03, 5705.19(J) and 5705.191, for the purpose of providing and maintaining motor vehicles, communications and other equipment used directly in the operation of a police department, or the payment of salaries of permanent police personnel, including the payment of the police officers' contribution required under Section 742.33 of the Revised Code or the payment of the costs incurred by townships as a result of contracts made with other political subdivisions in order to obtain police protection, or to provide ambulance or emergency medical services operated by a police department.
Said tax being a renewal tax at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which is the same rate as the existing levy, and which amounts to $0.20 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a five (5) year period of time, commencing in January 2019, first due in calendar year 2020.
The polls for said Election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. of said day.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, bank money order, or bidders' bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, payable to the Alpena County Road Commission, as a guarantee of good faith. This proposal guarantee shall be forfeited in case of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract and furnish satisfactory bonds, as required, within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after being furnished with the necessary contract and bond forms.

The plans, proposal forms and instructions may be obtained at the office of the Road Commission at the above address or will be mailed upon request. No proposal will be received unless made on proposal forms furnished by and delivered to the Alpena County Road Commission prior to the scheduled closing time for receiving proposals set forth above. Each proposal must be sealed and plainly marked with the name of the project, bid opening date, and bid opening time on the outside of the envelope.

The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularities in any proposal, or to make the award as appears to be in the best interest of the Alpena County Road Commission.
