ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN
EXCESS OF THE TEN-MILL
LIMITATION
Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of Resolutions Nos. 11.17 and 15.17 of the Board of Education of the Southington Local School District adopted on May 16, 2017 and June 27, 2017, there will be submitted to a vote of the electors of said School District at an election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten-mill limitation for the purpose of general permanent improvements of the Chalker Building and surrounding property, at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2017, first due in calendar year 2018.
The polls for said election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. of said day.
